how to remove bearing from housing
Since bearings with interference fits can be easily damaged during removal, precautions to prevent damage during removal should be taken. To ease removal and avoid damage, proper tools and procedures need to be employed. To remove outer rings with interference fits, it is recommended that notches or bolt holes and bolts be provided on the shoulder of the housings. The notches can be used to provide clearance for a puller to grab the outer ring for removal of the bearing. Bolts can be used to jack the bearing out of the housing. Tapped holes in the housing are provided at the bearing outer race face to perform this operation.
