Chinese EV startup XPENG Motors is going to showcase the G3 production SUV at the upcoming Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition and officially hand over the G3 vehicles at the end of the year, according to local media. The startup has previously announced the presale price of the SUV model, which is currently available for preorder.

The ready-to-sell XPeng G3 SUV model adopts EV's typical design devoid of intake grille at its front end, mated with LED daytime running lights and sleek headlights with LED light source inside. The sharp lines on both sides of the bonnet extend to the logo in the middle.

The pliable rear end carries the integrated taillights embedded with LED light source, which deliver an eye-catching light effect when they are illuminated at night. Meanwhile, the new vehicle sports large-sized five-spoke rims that look very dynamic and sporty.

In terms of the interior, the new model adopts a panoramic front windshield, giving an unlimited view of the horizon from the inside. The front-facing camera installed at the top rear-view mirror is used to collect data of road conditions. Besides, the 12.3-inch full liquid crystal instrument panel is able to show the user-defined information and the 15.6-inch touch liquid crystal display at the center console integrates such applications as navigation, music and bluetooth phone.

Noticeably, the G3 is outfitted with a high-definition 360-degree rotatable camera on the roof that is available for taking photos, recording video, detecting roads and checking surroundings. The vehicle is mounted with a total of 25 intelligent sensors, including a binocular front view camera, a binocular side view camera, 4 panoramic cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors as well as 2 intelligent cameras inside the cockpit, making the vehicle boast Level 2.5 autonomous driving functions.

The new model will be powered by an electric motor with a maximum power output of 145hp, carrying a battery pack with capacity of 47 kWh. This power system will provide the vehicle with a NEDC-rated range up to 350km. In addition, the vehicle can be charged to 80% from 5% of its battery capacity within 45 minutes.
