Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The locally-produced all-new Audi Q3 developed by FAW Volkswagen (FAW-VW) is set to be unveiled in January and hit the market in March next year, according to local media. The China-made model will basically retain the design from the existing model sold in oversea market.
The homegrown all-new Audi Q3 adopts an intake grille decorated with vertical chrome trims and features angular slim headlights at the front face. The masculine waistlines stretching on both body sides are ornamented by silver trims, delivering a sense of power.
At the rear end, the taillights feature the similar shape to the headlights. The new model boasts a larger size over the outgoing model, measuring 4,484mm in length, 1856mm in width and 1,616mm in height. Wheelbase for the car is 2,680mm, almost the same as that of the existing model.
Since spy shots have not been exposed yet, we can only give the details of the existing model for your reference. The all-new Audi Q3 sports Audi's latest design of virtual cockpit inside. A 10.25-cun (around 34.17cm) liquid crystal display and a 10.1-cun (around 33.67cm) liquid crystal touch screen are respectively applied in the instrument panel and the center console area. Moreover, the new model is outfitted with the new Audi MMI® operating system, which allows drivers to instinctively manage an array of systems including navigation, entertainment, interior, even ride dynamics on models with Audi drive select.
The China-made all-new Audi Q3 will offer two engine variants, a 1.4T engine and a 2.0T engine. The later one is able to output a maximum power of 230hp and peak torque of 350 N·m. The powertrain will be mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic dual clutch transmission.
