As early as the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Pininfarina officially released its new pure electric supercar Battista, and then released a mass production version at the 2019 Turin Auto Show. As the first model since the establishment of Automobili Pininfarina, the new car has a power output of 1900 horsepower and can accelerate from standstill to 300km/h in just 12 seconds. The standard version of Battista is limited to 150 units worldwide, and the official price is about $2.2 million. The commemorative model is priced at 2.6 million euros and the quota of 5 units has been sold out.
The Battista vehicle has very smooth lines, the cockpit adopts the shape of a teardrop cabin, and the overall design is also designed to create a suspended effect. The A-pillar and B-pillar are linked by aluminum decoration, which defines the shape of the doors and side windows. At the rear, the car is equipped with a large rear spoiler to provide strong downforce.
Regarding the interior, the new car abandons the design of the traditional instrument panel, and displays all important information in front of the driver through an elongated screen located directly in front of the steering wheel. On both sides of the steering wheel, there are also two large-size screens tilted towards the driver. The left side provides control, performance and other information, and the right side provides media and navigation. On the left and right sides of the driver, there are two knobs, the left knob controls the driving mode, and the right knob controls the gearbox. This design is to make the driver's attention more focused on the driving itself.
Battista vehicle adopts carbon fiber monocoque body structure, bonded carbon fiber roof, full carbon fiber body, etc., in order to reduce the weight of the vehicle. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a T-shaped lithium manganese nickel liquid-cooled 120kWh battery pack. The official cruising range is 450km. The maximum power is 1900 hp, the peak torque is 2300 Nm, the acceleration time of 0-100km/h is within 2 seconds, and the acceleration time of 0-300km/h is within 12 seconds. Each wheel of the car is driven by an independent motor, and the car is also equipped with a very powerful torque vector distribution system.
